Visiting the College

St. Catherine's College encourages its alumni to visit. The best times are when the College is hosting special alumni events. These include gaudies, Eights Week events, the annual Garden Party, and other events, which are usually announced in the Spring Newsletter. If you cannot plan your trips around these occasions, the College will still try to make you feel welcome.

Travelling to England

British Airways is an excellent way to travel to England and you can benefit the College by doing so. The St. Catherine's College (Oxford) Foundation has enrolled in the British Airways Venture Club, which will allow the Foundation to earn free British Airways tickets for the benefit of the College’s fellows and students. The Venture Club is a corporate incentive program offered by BA that allows the Foundation to earn frequent flier miles for the travel of its North American-based alumni. Venture Club miles are earned in addition to the frequent flier mileage earned by alumni for their own use. For example, if an alumnus is flying round trip between New York and London in coach class, he can earn 6,912 frequent flier miles for his own account and 1,200 Venture miles for the Foundation. 8000 Venture miles earns a free return ticket between the UK and North America.

The Venture Club offers a means by which North American-based alumni can help the College at no cost to themselves. All that alumni have to do is book a flight on British Airways to any destination and, in addition to presenting their British Airways Executive Club (frequent flier program) account number, present Venture Club account number E3A001US. If enough alumni use this service, the Foundation will be able to offer free air travel to students and fellows of the College to travel to North America for conferences, research, and other college business. Please join us in this effective, effortless way to benefit the College. Select the British Airways icon below to book your flight.
