About Us

The St. Catherine's College (Oxford) Foundation was created by alumni of St. Catherine's College, a constituent college of the University of Oxford, in 1986 to support the College's mission to advance knowledge through education, research, and scholarship. The Foundation has helped fund fellowships, scholarships, educational programs, and the improvement of College facilities including the replacement of the College's windows.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees and managed by Executive Officers. In association with Regional Coordinators, it organizes alumni events throughout the Americas and Japan. It manages a Student Visitors Programme, which allows students to stay with St. Catherine's College alumni free of charge while undertaking research or attending conferences. It also confers annually the Benjamin F. Sylvester, Jr. Award for enhancing the rowing life of St. Catherine's College, Oxford, and the Patricia Knapp Memorial Travel Grant to help College medical students undertake volunteer medical work and/or research in third world countries.

The Foundation is a recognized charity under the laws of the United States and provides United States and Mexican taxpayers with a means by which they can make tax-deductible donations for the benefit of the College.
